GridPaw

A shared Shikaku daily. Partition the grid so each number fills its own rectangle.

What is GridPaw?

A shared Shikaku daily. Partition the grid so each number fills its own rectangle. A dated Shikaku daily from GridPaw. The puzzle is seeded from the UTC date, and the same board is shared worldwide. Weekdays are 10×10. Saturday and Sunday in UTC are 14×14. Draw rectangles so each one holds a single number and covers exactly that many cells. Mistakes are counted, the toolbar offers three hints, and a timer runs. Other puzzle types, including Akari and Kakuro, sit beside the Shikaku daily. You can play as a guest. Sign-in is optional. It belongs to the wider family of DLE games: compact browser puzzles that give players a repeatable challenge and a reason to return the next day.

Why it is worth trying

GridPaw works well as a daily habit because a round usually takes 8-20 min. The rules are understandable in one session, but better pattern recognition can still improve future attempts.
