Bable

Four linked symbol words a day. Match each symbol to a letter and a keyboard row.

What is Bable?

Four linked symbol words a day. Match each symbol to a letter and a keyboard row. A shared daily code from Bable. Classic is four five-letter words made of symbols. The same symbol is the same letter everywhere, and each symbol carries a keyboard-row badge: 0 on the top row, 1 in the middle, 2 on the bottom. You have nine mistakes. A solved word does not spend one, and a string that is not a word does not either. Expert is a second daily on the same puzzle number, using sums of those row values. The countdown to the next puzzle is shown in UTC. The board opens without a sign-in. It belongs to the wider family of DLE games: compact browser puzzles that give players a repeatable challenge and a reason to return the next day.

How to play Bable

  1. Open Classic. Everyone gets the same four symbol words for that puzzle number.
  2. Assign a letter to a symbol. Matching symbols fill in across the board, and the badge must match that letter’s keyboard row.
  3. You have nine mistakes. Solved words and invalid strings do not spend one. Expert adds row-sum clues on the same daily.

Why it is worth trying

Bable works well as a daily habit because a round usually takes 5-12 min. The rules are understandable in one session, but better pattern recognition can still improve future attempts.

Players who enjoy word, logic, daily, code will find the closest fit here. The shared daily format also makes it easy to compare results with friends without requiring a long multiplayer session.
