Hawfold, ClueRoll & ITS PRICE: close the parish, roll the letters, name the dollars

One map cares that the hedges join. One board cares that the word is only half the work. One item cares that your first number is already too high or too low.

Hawfold, ClueRoll, and ITS PRICE are in the DLE Directory now. I opened today’s puzzles. I did not grind for a score. The interesting part is what each one does after you think you already know the answer.

Hawfold is a parish that only closes one way

Hawfold daily parish with numbered fields and no hedges drawn yet

You get a numbered parish and a field of dots. Some plots carry a count. That count is how many of the plot’s sides want a hedge. The rest of the job is one loop: every hedge has to join, and a lonely fence is a mistake waiting. I did not mark a side. The board was still all numbers.

Undo and check will let you look again. A next-step hint will name a mark that has to be true, then put the hedge down. Explore has extra maps; they do not touch the daily record. No account. Play it on the official site.

ClueRoll lets you know the word and still get stuck

ClueRoll daily board with five letter cubes in the tray and an empty answer

Today is dated. Two clues sit with a hole between them. You are looking for the missing word, then you still have to roll cubes across a path so their top faces spell it. A right letter in the right slot locks. I did not take a roll. The cubes were still in the tray.

That is the friction I like here: the clue can be over in a second, and the board is not. Hints split into word and cube. Completing a day drops fragments toward a weekly phrase. Progress stays in the browser. Play it on the official site.

ITS PRICE is one listing and five shots at the sticker

ITS PRICE daily item with five empty guess slots and no price entered

Everybody gets the same object today. You type a dollar amount. The game tells you higher or lower, and how hot the guess was. Five tries. Land inside 5% and it counts. I did not enter a number. The first slot was still empty.

Endless mode waits after the daily. The streak is the one item. No account. Play it on the official site.

Which of these should you try first?

Start with ITS PRICE if you want a two-minute sit and you already argue with price tags. Start with Hawfold if a quiet loop on a map is the right size. Start with ClueRoll if you like a clue that is not finished when you know the word. All three are free in a browser.

FAQ

Are all three games updated daily?

Yes. Hawfold numbers a shared parish for the day. ClueRoll labels the calendar date. ITS PRICE puts one Daily item up, then opens endless rounds after it.

Do these games require an account?

No. All three play in the browser without a sign-in. ClueRoll keeps progress in local storage.

Is Hawfold a number-fill puzzle?

No. The numbers tell you how many sides of a field need a hedge. The job is one continuous loop, not a grid of digits.

Is ClueRoll just a cryptic clue?

No. Finding the word is the start. You still roll cubes onto a path so the top faces spell that word in order.

Is ITS PRICE the same as The Price is Right?

No. It is a separate daily at itsprice.fun. You type a dollar guess and get higher/lower plus hot/cold feedback.

Conclusion

Hawfold ends when the parish is one loop, or when you take the next-step hint. ClueRoll ends when the cubes lock the word, or when you leave a cube in the tray. ITS PRICE ends on the fifth guess, or when you are close enough. Pick the kind of unfinished you can live with tomorrow.
