Colour Match, Second Sight, and All/Some are in the DLE Directory now. I opened all three today and left them unfinished. I wanted to know which one I would come back to tomorrow.
Colour Match leaves the target where you can see it
I opened Colour Match and did not press submit. The target stays on the page. Under it is your mix, starting at black, and three sliders for red, green, and blue. You get one try. The score is how far your three numbers sit from the real ones. Zero is a perfect match.
What I like, and this is taste, is that the colour never leaves. Afterimage, on the same site, hides it first. I would open this when I want one careful mix and then stop.
Second Sight makes you hold the first colour through a gap
I left Second Sight on round one and did not show the colours. You get ten rounds. You see one colour, then a pause, then another, and you name the one thing that moved: lighter, darker, more vivid, more muted, or a shift in hue. The two swatches appear together only after you answer.
Later rounds get shorter and the pause gets longer. I left the first colour unshown. I would take this when I want a few quick checks that still feel like a day, not a mixer sitting next to the answer.
All/Some is a diagram, not a word list
I opened All/Some and left the Play button alone. Today’s challenge is a dated set with a countdown, and the board is empty circles with words around them. You work out how the categories overlap. The home page showed three puzzles in the daily. Sign in is only there if you want the streak saved.
There are extra collections beside it. Those are not the daily. I would come back for the dated set, because the interesting part is the overlap, not another unlimited topic pack.
Which of these should you try first?
If I only had time for one game tonight, I would take Colour Match, because one submit makes the day feel finished. I would take Second Sight when I want ten short comparisons, and All/Some when I want to sit with a diagram instead of a colour. All three play in a browser without an account.
